A Fall of Fun

Camping, Rockies Games, Visits from Grandma, Aunt Mar, Yaya, Grandpa, Weekend escapes around CO, pumpkin patches, Del's first movie (The Incredibles 3). We kept busy and made plenty of memories.

Kindergarten

We have a kindergartner. Wow. Although it was an adjustment - she flourished fast.

Summer!

Summer seems long gone - it flew by - entertaining two kids and getting ready for the transition to school which starts in August in Colorado! We graduated a preschooler, did a few baseball games, quite a lot of pool days (Audrey is a great little swimmer these days), outside play, camping and smores and spent a week in Washington with the family.
Del's Favorite Part about camping: Fire! And marshmallows and graham crackers and chocolate!
Del's Favorite Part about Baseball Games: Sitting up in the 300 level with a mitt 'They're going to to throw it to me!'

5 YEARS OLD!

5 YEARS OLD!? How did that happen. Our little baby girl has turned into quite the lovely little girl. She is full of spunk, giving plenty of attitude - but also has the biggest heart, very aware of those around her and how they feel. Whenever she thinks I'm crying...hitting my knee on the door or cutting an onion, she stops and almost starts to cry herself until she understands I am ok. She will do the same with her brother, as long as she is not the one to make him cry by taking something he wants or pushing his buttons which is happening more and more now that D is understanding how to push HER buttons.

She is definitely coming into her own...gaining confidence at school (everyone still wants to be her best friend) and is very opinionated about her attire (mostly dresses) as well as mine (Mom, that is why I DON'T like jeans - when they stick out like that around your ankle.)

She still loves pink, ice-cream, swimming, dancing, games (especially when she makes up all the rules), playing mom/teacher, traveling to play with her cousins and making deals. She dislikes jeans, going to bed and being told no.

Luckily she still loves her mom, dad and brother. And we love her more than words can say.
