Mo Babies

Audrey received some gift cards and money for her birthday, so we spent an afternoon at Toys-R-Us.
This girl was in heaven. She pulled down everything she could reach, saying 'Look at this Mommy'.
And especially loved all the babies which is clearly evident in the videos.

She got to bring a baby home, who she promptly named 'Oda'. Her new favorite past time is playing hide and seek with Oda.

Audrey: 'Where's Oda'? (After hiding her behind the door or in a basket)
M/D: 'I don't know...is she under the bed?'
She looks under the bed, ' I don't see her under there' (Astonished, of course)
M/D: 'Is she in the closet?'
She looks in the closet, 'I don't see her in the closet' (Still can't believe it!)
M/D: 'Is she behind the door?'
She 'finds' her behind the door - 'There's Oda!!'

And then she starts it again and again...never moving Oda from the original hiding spot!

Get Away for Mom and Dad

Yaya came to stay so mom and dad could get away for the week. We visited Montreal and Quebec City and had a great time sleeping in, getting a massage, finding good food and live music and just wandering. Audrey and Yaya had fun too - she apparently slept better at night, napped and ate everything in sight without crying once. We'll need to have grandma's come stay more often!

Two Years Old

Time has flown over these last two years and it's hard to imagine what we did with our time and what life was like before the laughter and joy Audrey has brought into it.

Her favorite phrases (although the vocabulary is greatly expanding): 

"Where did (*) go?"

"I did it!"

"I can't reach it..."

"One more hug"..."One more kiss"

"Uppie" - not sure where this one came from, but it means...up, please
"I love you"

*Insert mommy, daddy, Sark, phone, moon, stars, her hand...just about anything

She still loves to sing - 'Wheels on the Bus', 'Twinkle Twinkle', 'Row Row Row Your Boat' and 'Head Shoulders Knees and Toes' are favorites that she will belt out at any time. She loves running and chase and swings and slides. But will also just sit and read for hours. Her favorite is finding Gold Bug or reading about baby animals. Every day is an adventure that we are lucky to be a part of.
