A Very Happy Easter

This girl made the day so much fun.

She found her Easter Basket right away, before mom and dad even made it downstairs from bed.

She had a blast coloring eggs - mostly just handing them back and forth to mom while counting...
'1...2...4...5...6....7,8,9,10". #3 is usually forgotten and we only had 5 eggs, but, you know, you have to show off your skills.

And she was a pro at the egg hunt. Full disclaimer that she had a practice hunt at daycare, where she was more interested in the snow than understanding what an egg may have in store for her. But once she saw what the eggs hold (fruit snacks or chocolate), she caught on. So, when we did the egg hunt in our backyard, she wasn't fooled and it went something like this...

'More eggs?'
'<high pitched squeal>' - as she spotted one
Open the egg, stuff whatever was inside in her mouth.
'More eggs?'

That was one happy girl who got the equivalent of two fruit snacks and a half dozen jelly beans. (Although she did complain about them getting stuck in her teeth...)

And then the surprises continued when the next day Audrey went through all the eggs again, just in case, and found a chocolate that we had insisted she wait to eat. She managed to unwrap it, stuff the whole thing in her mouth and had a huge grin on her face as she came up to show mom and dad "Chocolate!". Wish we would have snapped a shot of that aftermath!

At the daycare egg hunt - the only day of the last two weeks we got snow...
