Audrey has had a lot of firsts in the past couple of weeks - one being a plane ride all the way to Oahu (More coming soon on the trip...). The 7-hour direct flight from Denver to Honolulu went great, other than it being a 7 hours. We lucked out with a whole row to ourselves so had plenty of room to spread out, change diapers, etc. Audrey ate or slept pretty much the whole way and received many compliments from our fellow passengers.

The flight attendant gave us free wine...for some reason they thought
it was our Honeymoon. We'll take it! |
We then flew from Honolulu to Seattle to visit family and friends (more coming later on that too...). When it was finally time to head home to Denver Sunday night, we hit a bit of a snag. Sequence of events are as followed:
- Rush through airport to make flight.
- Sit on plane for an hour awaiting 'maintenance paperwork'. Meanwhile, baby starts to fuss. Feed baby and she falls asleep.
- Gate agent comes on and says we are going to have to deplane.
- Carry sleeping baby off plane and find nearest restaurant/bar to eat and wait.
- Flight gets cancelled.
- Re-book a 6am flight for the next morning. Wait in long lines to get hotel and meal vouchers.
- Call ahead and hotel does not have a crib, so we book our own. Get to bed about 11.
- Awake at 4 for flight. Luckily check our flight, which has been delayed until 9am.
- Head to the airport at 7. Flight is delayed until 10am...then 1pm...but that's still iffy
- Get re-booked on an 8:20pm flight in order to not have a connection or be stuck at the airport any longer
- Spend the day in Seattle
- Arrive home at 2am Tuesday morning
