Weekend Get Aways

Because we are loving road trips, we had a couple additional weekend getaways planned.
We spent a weekend in Steamboat Springs with Yaya. Then followed with a a weekend in Santa Fe, NM with the Smiths.
Both places are great and well worth the screaming toddler in the car - Although I fail to get any good pictures...

A Road Trip

Because driving 18+ hours with a a 4 and 1 year old is a great idea...we decided to take the dog and drive back to Washington for Grandpa's retirement. Although it was a long haul, and we almost died in a mudslide and rainstorm in Wyoming, we had a great trip seeing family and spending quality time with our little family. Hearing Audrey and Del laugh at each other, Audrey telling stories and watching Del learn how to communicate a little more each day was worth the hours.
We enjoyed the big retirement party,  a trip to Wenatchee, then camping with grandmas before heading home.
