"10 Minutes"

Audrey has a lot of phrases she is picking up, repeating and using at all times:

- "Come with me" ...she'll say when she wants to come with you
- "Sarky feeling ok?"...when I'm asking Sark if he's ok
- "This diaper!"...when she doesn't want a diaper change
- "Daddy's going to the store"...when daddy goes anywhere
- "I sleep in Daddy's bed"...at anytime she is supposed to be in her bed
- "I don't want a sweatshirt"...anytime you want to put her in anything
- "Me do it myself"...she wants to do anything and everything herself
- "No pigtails, I want bows"...if you try to touch her hair, the bows last about 3 minutes
- "I watch bus"...anytime of the day she sees or does not see the IPAD
- "Itsy bitsy spider, mommy" or "I want Audrey's music"...as soon as we get in the car
She is a great singer - and now knows the words to all the favorite nursery songs.
- "Mommy sing Wheels on the Bus?"...because she doesn't always like to sing alone
- "No! Mommy don't sing"...because sometimes she does

This is just a handful of her favorites, but the one that kills us every time is one we used on her once and she now throws it back at us every chance she gets to procrastinate doing something she doesn't want to do. "10 more minutes Mommy!"

A Visit From Aunt Jessie

Spoiled...spoiled.

She brought a princess tent for a princess.

And fed her plenty of whipped cream.

The Terrible Twos

We thought they started at 18 months and wouldn't get much worse. Boy, were we wrong. We definitely have a  strong-willed toddler who wants what she wants, when she wants it. It's hard to go a whole evening without a throw-yourself-on-the-floor tantrum because she can't have the IPAD, wants water in her baby's bottle (a mess inside), wants to blow bubbles (when it's raining out), etc. One of my favorites, was when she put my shoes on (the wrong feet), made her way up to the door and wanted to take Sark for a walk. When I said it was time to make dinner instead, she stood at the top of the stairs sobbing for about 10 minutes until she would let me come near her, pick her up to calm her down.

It's always an adventure!

Because a package came to the door for mom and she wanted to open it.
We were going for a Sunday walk, why not a bonnet and purse?

A typical morning attitude
She won't take a nap in her crib, but give her a bumpy, sunny ride and she's a gonner.
Never sure in any size of crowd.

A Grand Perfomance

Of Twinkle Twinkle at the dinner table.

Mo Babies

Audrey received some gift cards and money for her birthday, so we spent an afternoon at Toys-R-Us.
This girl was in heaven. She pulled down everything she could reach, saying 'Look at this Mommy'.
And especially loved all the babies which is clearly evident in the videos.

She got to bring a baby home, who she promptly named 'Oda'. Her new favorite past time is playing hide and seek with Oda.

Audrey: 'Where's Oda'? (After hiding her behind the door or in a basket)
M/D: 'I don't know...is she under the bed?'
She looks under the bed, ' I don't see her under there' (Astonished, of course)
M/D: 'Is she in the closet?'
She looks in the closet, 'I don't see her in the closet' (Still can't believe it!)
M/D: 'Is she behind the door?'
She 'finds' her behind the door - 'There's Oda!!'

And then she starts it again and again...never moving Oda from the original hiding spot!
